2. Website delivery and hosting
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger processes the data required to deliver and secure the website on our behalf. This may include the IP address, date and target of a request, HTTP method, referrer, browser and device information, transferred data volume, response time, status codes and error codes.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and error-free provision of the website and the prevention of abusive access. Website access logs can be viewed in Hostinger's hPanel for reporting periods of no more than seven days. We do not export them for long-term usage analysis. Data may be retained for longer in a specific case if this is necessary to investigate a security incident or pursue a legal claim.
Hostinger may use affiliated companies and subprocessors. According to Hostinger, transfers outside the European Economic Area are based in particular on adequacy decisions or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required. See the Hostinger Data Processing Addendum for more information.
3. Local storage on your device
Online-Uhr.de stores the settings you choose directly in your browser's local storage. These settings include language, colour scheme, time format, display size, alarm and audio settings, saved alarms and world-clock cities, and stopwatch preferences. The web application reads this information only locally in your browser to provide the selected features; it is not transmitted to our servers.
This storage is used so that features you explicitly request remain available on a later visit. It is based on section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. The entries remain until you change them in the website or delete them through your browser or site settings.
4. Notifications and device features
At your express request, the website can display browser notifications, play sounds, vibrate the device, keep the screen awake or enter full-screen mode. Each feature is only activated by your selection. You can manage permissions at any time in your browser or device settings. Alarms, timers and their content run locally in the open browser; Online-Uhr.de does not operate an external push service for them.
5. Google Analytics
If you expressly consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It helps us understand which pages are visited and how the website's features are used. The Google Analytics code is not loaded without your consent.
The data processed may include pages viewed, usage events, approximate region, browser and device information, and a randomly generated client ID. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We do not send names, email addresses or other content you enter to Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses the cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and preserve session state. Their default lifetime is up to two years.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with future effect via “Privacy settings” in the footer. On withdrawal, we disable measurement and delete Google Analytics cookies accessible to this website. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.
Recipients are Google Ireland Limited and, where applicable, Google LLC and their processors. Processing in the United States and other third countries may occur. According to Google, transfers rely in particular on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where required, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For details, see Google's Google Analytics privacy information and Google Privacy Policy.
Google Search Console only provides aggregated information about how publicly accessible pages appear in Google Search. No additional tracking code is loaded for this purpose.
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message content, technical metadata and any details you provide voluntarily. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps; otherwise it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the appropriate handling of enquiries.
Recipients may include the mail and hosting providers involved in delivering the message. We delete correspondence once the enquiry has been conclusively resolved unless statutory retention duties or legal claims require longer storage.
7. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access under Article 15 GDPR, rectification under Article 16, erasure under Article 17, restriction under Article 18 and data portability under Article 20. You may object under Article 21 GDPR to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) for reasons arising from your particular situation.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, is generally responsible for private-sector controllers established in Bavaria. To exercise your rights, send a message to the email address above.
8. Updates to this policy
We update this policy when the website, the service providers used or the applicable legal requirements change.
