How the Pomodoro technique works

Work on one task for 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break, then start the next round. After roughly four rounds, take a longer break.

A focus timer for studying

For exam prep, writing or coding, the fixed rhythm reduces distractions. The round counter shows how many focus blocks you have completed.

Do not skip the breaks

Short breaks are part of the method: stand up, rest your eyes, drink water. Use “Skip” only when a phase does not fit your schedule.

Sound and notifications

Each phase ends with a sound cue, plus a notification when you allow them, even if the tab is in the background.
